First time offered (!), this 2-hour online class explores the fundamentals of safe, relevant, and appropriate pelvic floor bodywork for pregnant, birthing, and postnatal clients.

• Benefits of internal pelvic floor bodywork during the perinatal cycle
• Precautions and contraindications
• When to suggest pelvic floor work – and when to defer
• Common perinatal conditions that may benefit from pelvic floor bodywork
• Positioning options during pregnancy
• Being present at a birth: how, when, and if to suggest internal work

Open to practitioners and students who have studied internal pelvic floor bodywork, or anyone who may find the material relevant and useful to their work.

A certificate of completion will be provided following class attendance. Class will be recorded, and replay access will be available after the live session.

Instructor: LESLIE STAGER RN,LMT

 Since 1993, Leslie has specialized in perinatal and women’s health bodywork,  including fertility, abdominal, and breast massage, external and internal pelvic bodywork. She has taught internationally and is the author of the book Nurturing Massage for Pregnancy and instructor for the video Mastering Pregnancy Massage. For a decade, Leslie also worked as a Labor & Delivery RN and doula, experience that informed the development of her maternity massage programs. Leslie has taught internal pelvic floor bodywork to massage therapists, midwives, and other birth professionals. Now approaching retirement, this is the first online pelvic floor speciality bodywork program she has offered.
