**Pregnancy Massage Fundamentals October 20th, Thu 9am-6pm $200, 8CEs
Prerequisites: current student that has passed Massage Fundamentals or current LMT
**Prenatal Bodywork Training October 20-23rd, Thu-Sun 9am-6pm $800, 32CEs
Prerequisites: current student with > 200 hours training or current LMT
Students may register for the one day Fundamentals class or the four day comprehensive certificate. Pregnancy is a unique 9-month experience accompanied by physical adaptations of posture, pelvic floor, low back and breasts and leading to a variety of musculo-skeletal complaints. In the Prenatal Bodywork Training, you’ll gain respect for this potent rite of passage, while learning advanced manual therapy techniques to address common pregnancy concerns including sacro-iliac joint pain, leg cramps, uterine ligament spasms, and more. Gain confidence with draping and positioning, recognize the difference between pregnancy massage myths and real precautions, and offer effective bodywork techniques that address client’s shifting needs from conception to birth. The full 32-hour class includes an exam and a 1.5 hour supervised pregnancy massage clinic where students must demonstrate proficiency.
